Secret Cove, Lake Tahoe
In early spring snow still blankets the ground all the way down to lake level and people are waiting for it to melt it away so they can hike to the beaches. But this is the best time of year to head to Secret Cove. People fear the lingering snow and don’t venture out. However, along the shoreline the sun warms the rocks and sand, and the snow disappears leaving behind a deserted beach protected by a forest that others rarely traverse. If you brave the walk, the beach will be yours alone. This image was created on one of those April days. What could be better than to walk along the shoreline of Lake Tahoe on a solitary morning?
For this image I wanted to create a feeling of calmness and serenity. Blues and greens dominate the color palette of this image and these colors are known to elicit just those emotions. The sense of tranquility is reinforced by the composition of the image as the viewer's eye is drawn from the rich blues and greens of the water to the breathtaking sweep of the lake and the majestic mountains in the distance. This arrangement creates a sense of depth and vastness which is quieting and calming for the viewer.

Fujiflex Crystal Archive Acrylic Fine Art Prints
All our acrylic prints come with either a gloss or luster finish. Gloss provides amazing color depth and luminosity while luster approaches this level of brilliance but with less reflection if there is a strong side-light close to the artwork. Acrylic is the most brilliant finish for landscape photography and it approaches a 3-D appearance. Acrylic prints are ideal in locations with low natural light and good directional light from above. The acrylic print characteristics of archival quality, image brilliance, and durability makes it an excellent choice.
Chromalux Metal Fine Art Prints
Metal is an excellent finish for landscapes and approaches the brilliance of acrylic prints but with the ability to clean it with glass cleaner and a paper towel without any adverse effects. Metal is also much lighter than acrylic and, therefore is much easier to hang. All our metal prints come with either a gloss or luster finish. Gloss provides amazing color depth and luminosity while luster approaches this level of brilliance but with less reflection if there is a strong side-light close to the artwork. Metal prints are ideal in locations with low natural light and good directional light from above. The metal print characteristics of archival quality, image brilliance, and durability makes it an excellent all-around choice.
