Manaslu in Nepal. At 26,759 feet this is the 8th highest mountain in the world. The main summit, and our objective, is the peak in the background. The summit in the foreground is the east peak and is slightly lower.

Camp 4 on Manaslu at 24,500 feet and our high point for the expedition. The winds were much too high to climb safely. On this day two Polish climbers went for the top, were blown off the summit, and fell 1500 feet. They survived and were able to descend all the way to basecamp under their own power.
