Apricot Rain

Seen from high above the lake, enormous, rain laden storm clouds fill the Tahoe Basin. A springtime sunset brushes them with a wash of apricot watercolor which flows onto the snow-covered mountains. Sun and clouds spar as the setting sun fights to pierce the obscuring veil, while far below, the surface of the lake shimmers, stirred by the rain and wind. Sometimes tranquil and sometimes tempestuous, the lake is covered with intricate patterns of light and shadow.

As a photographer I’m drawn to the power and majesty of nature rather than to the tiny details of close-up images. In this dramatic photograph, the dark clouds and dark lake in the foreground create a frame for the brilliant sunset light above the mountains. This creates an almost three-dimensional effect as the viewer’s eye is drawn to the golden light.

I’m filled with wonder as I capture this scene with the press of a button.

LIMITED EDITION OF 50

Limited edition refers to the maximum number of copies of the photograph that will ever
be printed. The most I will print of any photo is 50, with a caveat, and that is that I sell
all my prints in 8 X 10, 11 X 14 and 12x18 sizes without limitation. I believe that all people,
regardless of their income level, should have access to affordable art.

PRINT TYPES

Fujiflex Crystal Archive Acrylic Fine Art Prints

All our acrylic prints come with either a gloss or luster finish. Gloss provides amazing color depth and luminosity while luster approaches this level of brilliance but with less reflection if there is a strong side-light close to the artwork. Acrylic is the most brilliant finish for landscape photography and it approaches a 3-D appearance. Acrylic prints are ideal in locations with low natural light and good directional light from above. The acrylic print characteristics of archival quality, image brilliance, and durability makes it an excellent choice.

Chromalux Metal Fine Art Prints

Metal is an excellent finish for landscapes and approaches the brilliance of acrylic prints but with the ability to clean it with glass cleaner and a paper towel without any adverse effects. Metal is also much lighter than acrylic and, therefore is much easier to hang. All our metal prints come with either a gloss or luster finish. Gloss provides amazing color depth and luminosity while luster approaches this level of brilliance but with less reflection if there is a strong side-light close to the artwork. Metal prints are ideal in locations with low natural light and good directional light from above. The metal print characteristics of archival quality, image brilliance, and durability makes it an excellent all-around choice.
