This is the Truckee River image that I dreamed of, but for which I had to wait three years. Autumn can be fickle and fleeting. The previous two years a hard freeze came early, while the leaves were still green, so they simply turned to brown and fell to away. Persistence and luck are very often two of the most important ingredients in landscape photography.
